GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY
Global Handwashing Day (GHD), the
day intends to raise public awareness about the need and importance of washing
our hand with soap in order to avoid diseases and to save life.
Although people across the world clean their hands with
water, only few use soap to wash their hands. Washing hands with soap is not only
a simple and inexpensive method for cleanliness, but also it can dramatically
cut down the number of young children who get sick.
Global Handwashing Day mainly aims
to
1.
Foster
and support a global and local culture of handwashing with soap
2.
Shine
a spotlight on the state of handwashing around the world
3.
Raise
awareness about the benefits of handwashing with soap
