BOAT RACE ARANMULA
Aranmula boat race is the oldest
boat race still exists in Kerala without losing its heritage value. This
festival is held every year in India's southern state called Kerala. Aranmula
boat raise is very famous around the globe. Many foreigners reaches Kerala
every year to enjoy this fabulous event which they cant see anywhere in the
world. The main event is the snake boat race .The name came from its shape. The
back end of the boat is curved as shape of cobra and it is slanting like a
snake tail towards front of the boat. It have around 100 foot length. More than
100 peoples are riding in this boat. This is considered as ultimate test of
endurance
Aranmula is one of the heritage
village under pathanamtitta district of Kerala . The land rests in the bank of
Pampa River.
WHEN IS WORLD ARANMULA
BOAT RACE?
Every year
utrattathi day of Malayalam month chingam. Which may falls in August mid to September beginning of Georgian calendar.
Because of this aranmula boat race is locally known as Aranmula uratathi vallam kali.
In 2020 September 4 is the scheduled date. Due to corona issues the organizers yet to announces program schedule.

Once a devotee Brahmin
agreed to provide all necessary items for Tiruvona sadya (Onam feast) held in Aranmula
lord Krishna temple (Aranmula parthasarathy temple) In a boat.
During its
voyage, an enemy group came to attack and try to loot all items, the snake
boats nearby people came to rescue him and his boat. For the remebernece of
this event, the Aranmula boat race is held every year at the time of Onam
celebration.

ON ARANMULA BOAT RACE
1. People
gather Bank of Aranmula pamba river. Find the perfect place for witnessing the
astonishing boat race. Some of them even cliemp up to the nearest trees to get
the perfect view.
2. Visit
Aranmula parthasarathy temple and eat the special “vallasadya”. A fest about 70 different verities of recipe. It is a great treat for the tongue.
3. Shopping
in the nearest town, The Aranmula mirror is very famous around the globe.
