HISTORY
International Beer Day (IBD) was formed by Evan Hamilton, Jesse
Avshalomov, Richard Hernandez, and Aaron Araki in San
Francisco, United States in 2007 as a way to
bring friends and strangers together over pints of beer. During 2007 and 2012,
the celebration was renowned on August 5, but due to popular demand that the
day be held on a Friday, the organizers changed the date to the first Friday of
August.
