Everything what we are is coming from nature , the food we are eating , the water we are drinking and the air we are breathing are coming from nature . We need to take action to save the nature for our-self. 
World Environment Day, the celebration of the day intends to spread awareness among public about our environment and enhance political attention and action towards the environment.
The celebration of world environment day provides an opportunity to the individuals, enterprises, various communities to get involved in some actions and activities for maintaining and preserving our environment.

WHEN IS WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY?
 June 5th is observed as World Environment Day .

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY HISTORY
In 1972 United Nations General Assembly recognized World Environment Day to mark the opening of the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment. Also, on the same day another resolution adopted by the General Assembly led to the establishment of United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). Every year a different city hosts the event and will be commemorated with an international exposition throughout the week of June 5.

WHAT DO PEOPLE DO ON WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY


1.     Arrange street rallies and parades

2.     Tree planting

3.     Clean-up campaigns

4.     Share ideas and activities for making our world cleaner, greener, and brighter.

5.     Promote World Environment Day through social media

6.     Collect recyclable items to reduce waste.

7.     Organize  a film festival which  emphasize eco-issues

8.     Organize exhibition

9.     Raise money for  eco charity

10. Increase awareness among people in your community

11. Support use of public transportation to reduce our  environmental impact

12. Support Refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle


·      WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY THEME 2020
The theme for this year is 'It's Time for Nature’ and the host nation is India.
